Cultural Clash of Urbanist and Ruralist

I ever went to Central Kalimantan in 2015. The film "Tiga Pejantan Tanggung" (2010) has taken my memory with that time. When I came to Borneo, for seven days, with friends, I explore the Borneo forest. I also crossed the stream in there with the local boat. God, I missed the atmosphere. Borneo is a beautiful island, and you can see that in this film.

The story began with three friends (the friendship circle): Harta (Ringgo Agus Rahman), Angga (Deddy Mahendra Desta), and Kris (Dennis Adhiswara). They are hedonist and urbanist men. After they played in the bar, suddenly they lost in Borneo island. They woke up seeing the stream and finding the forest. After that, they met with indigenous people. Like the traditional leader (Piet Pagau) and the people with their own local culture.

The main conflict from this film about the cultural clash between modern and traditional. And about the indigenous land which becomes a target from the capitalist, Handoyo (Joe Kla Project as the entrepreneur). Han wants to hold a coal mine (the black gold) in Kalimantan. So, everything way, he did. From cooperating with a local person, burning a traditional home, until kidnapping the daughter's leader, Riana (Siti Anizah). But, Harta, Angga, and Kris helped this local society with their skill; especially the big motivation was coming from Harta. He had loved Riana. 

For me, the urbanist is an urbanist; never be like the ruralist or the localist (indigenous). Three best friends always want to back again to Jakarta. The thesis trial awaits them. Harta has been hate with Angga because separating him from Riana. There is a nice word, "If you hate with your best friend, hit him, taking angry with him, or everything, but don't leave him."

Overall, this comedy film will make you laugh. Your bad mood will be good when you are watching this film. Not only comedy that will you get, also the Borneo panorama and the unique culture from indigenous society. Also the cultural and material problems there. But just making you happy when you are watching. Cause Ringgo, Desta, and Dennis are never failed to make you laugh.
