Pertanyaan utama artikel ini adalah bagaimana memulai revolusi kewirausahaan informal?
Jurnal ini mengeksplorasi ekosistem kewirausahaan informal dari perspektif resiliensi ekologis. Juga menganalisis perbedaan signifikan antara formal, informal, inovasi sederhana, dan ekosistem pendukung, yang memproduksi antusiasime yang tidak paralel dalam konteks Afrika.
Hal tersebut berdampak pada pertumbuhan ekonomi dan perpindahan ekonomi informal ke formal.
Prestasi keberlanjutan bisnis tergantung dari interaksi terhadap ekosistem kewirausahaan (entrepreneurship ecosystem/EE) dan institusi yang mendukung lingkungan bisnis. Selain itu, ekosistem kewirausahaan mempengaruhi pertumbuhan usaha melintasi lokasi, wilayah, dan negara.
Resiliensi ekologis dibutuhkan untuk mentransformasi perilaku penting, struktur, dan identitas ke dalam sistem yang lebih baik untuk merespon disrupsi.
Model ekosistem kewirausahaan terdiri dari enam elemen kunci yang terdiri dari kebijakan, keuangan, budaya, dukungan, modal manusia, dan pasar. Dengan enam elemen ini, tedapat interaksi dari ratusan elemen lain.
Ekosistem kewirausahaan menyediakan backgorund yang kaya dengan risiko, inovatif, dan usaha yang visioner; selain itu produktif dan bisa mengembalikan return dengan optimal.
Inovasi sederhana dan kewirausahaan informal mengembangkan respons terhadap hambatan teknologi, ekonomi, sosial, dan budaya yang ada dalam ekonomi di Afrika.
