The feeling of curiosity have taken me to this film "Orang Kaya Baru" (The Nouveau Riche). I would learn many from this film, the opening such as gives you information that if reality bites you, just turn it; change the failure to success. "That's my tradition in my family," said Tika (Raline Shah). She is a architecture student, the second daughter.
Tika is a daughter from Bapak (Lukman Sardi) and Ibu (Cut Mini Theo). This couple have two sons also, they are Duta (Derby Romero, the first son, he is an theater artist) and Dodi (Fatih Unru, the third son, he is a student in Junior High School). One day, Bapak passed away and he bequeath some billions dollar to his family. Before to be the nouveau riche, this family lived in a poor condition. Lived in flood milieu; Dodi got his bathing in traditional bathtub or in bak mandi.
They just have a modest living, but they are rich because they had had the harmonic family. They could eat everyday together, they could talk everyday without any business in out door. Their father talked to his children:
"The important of life is the family and the friendship. Save these two points, save them. Dad is rich because I have you all. We can eat together, I have good children. Dad is happy when I wake up, I can see your all face. I worked everything so you are all can get the best education. If Dad was talked that I can't educate my children, so I feel offended."
When the life was changing in film "Orang Kaya Baru" (2019) |
In these some learning that I got from this film:
- If you want to have easy get the money, please eat the head of everything. The head of fish, the head of chicken, the head of the others. (Bapak)
- The money if not a lot will enough, but if you get a lot of money, it's never enough. The example like, when Duta's small, he saved his pocket money to buy a cassette. Then the cassette always be heard. But now, when the song is easy to download, he is seldom heard like in the last anymore. (Bapak)
- Apathetic song, the rebel lyric.
- Just so you know, Sir, your mentality such as 20 years late ... Your own people you oppressed, but with foreigner you give your respect. It's shit, dog! (Duta)
- I love my motorcycle because it was bought with my own sweat. (Banyu/Refal Hady, honestly I love this character, he worked everything, he have many of jobs to fulfill his own life)
- What are you doing, Tik, following useless channels like that.
